To all HFC Members and Families,

Community involvement and engagement has always been a part of our HFC mission to support our local community.  There are so many worthy causes and nonprofit organizations in Madison County and Northern AL which need help and resources.  As a 501 C-3 nonprofit organization, HFC may not have excess capital to contribute, but we have almost 800 players and over 1,200 parents who may be interested in volunteering on behalf of our club.

We would like your feedback and suggestions as we construct a strategy to further support local causes.  Please let us know your thoughts, interests and ideas about how HFC can become more engaged throughout Huntsville, Madison, Madison County and N. Alabama.  Feel free to suggest organizations by name and how you feel we may become involved.  You may be actively involved with organizations which need volunteers.

Some examples of programs or efforts that we have been involved with in the past include tutoring services to students, team's adopting a highway, jerseys donated to Vapor Sports Ministries, participation in the TOP Soccer program, Henry Mpagi's drive to collect uniforms to send to youth soccer players in Africa, etc.

We understand that the National Honor Society and other school related clubs and activities require students to complete hours of community service.  We may be a good conduit to support required community service hours.

Many thanks, in advance, for your thoughts and feedback.  Christie Clark, our Senior Manager-Madison Branch, will manage this project on behalf of HFC and may be reached at clarkhse@yahoo.comPlease respond to Christie by Nov. 15th.

Regards,
John Eagan, President, HFC
