Alabama secured one slot in each of the age groups pools and HFC claimed three of the five!

Congratulations to Coach James Ssemambo for recently earning his USSF B License.  This license is the second highest license possible and provides for a rigorous set of coursework and field work to earn this honor.  Coach James will now be able to share with other coaches and most of all, further impact the successful development of our HFC players!

The U10 Girls Blue team is in First Place in their Bracket for D2 State League.  Although the team can't play in State Cup since they played in Governor's HFC is still very proud Coach Mike and girls.

UPDATE: Avery Batson performed very well last week at the Thanksgiving Interregional games in Boca Raton, FL and as a result has been selected to play in the ODP International event in Costa Rica Feb 14-21, 2013. Congrats Avery!!!

Avery Batson will be attending the  U14 Girls National Team Camp Sunday, May 27 to Sunday, June 3, 2012

Avery has been identified as one of the top players in  her age group and is among ONLY the top 48 U14 players in the USA invited to the U14 Girl’s National Team Camp. The next camp will be August 19-26, 2012 again in Carson, CA where they will invite the top 36 from that group… The last camp will be October 14-21, 2012 again in Carson, CA. At this level everything is paid for from travel to Nike apparel (Cleats, Runners shoes, Backpack, Polo…etc…)  One of the key quotes from the director of the youth program was that; “ Your journey with our National Team’s program has begun, your commitment to continually improve your game will determine your destination.” That is huge and all our prayers and support will be with Avery as she grows in this beautiful game!

Avery Batson has been invited back for a third session to the National Team Training Center May 16 in Atlanta.

Avery has been invited back for another National Team Training Center session, She’s been invited to the next session on Monday, April 16th, 2012 in Atlanta, GA.

HFC Player Invited to Participate in the U.S. Soccer Training Center: Avery Batson with the HFC 97 Blue girls was invited to participate in the U.S. Soccer Training Center in Suwanee, GA on February 8, 2012

U.S. Soccer Training Centers are designed to replicate national team training camps. As the National Governing Body of soccer in the United States, and under the auspices of the United States Olympic Committee, we are empowered and charged with developing the teams that represent the United States in all international competitions such as the Olympics and World Cup. The Training Center Program is an integral part of this process. The U.S. Soccer Training Centers are single day, invitational training sessions run by U.S. Soccer staff for elite players in key soccer markets. Training Centers are open to the top players from any team, club or organization at no cost to the player. The purpose of the Training Center program is to identify the best players for the U.S. Soccer Youth National Team program.

Avery has been with HFC since U10/U11. She is one of the few players at HFC that has been able to play up an age group each single season and plays for the HFC ’97 Blue Girls as a ’98 at the moment. This spring she will skip middle school ball and will look for playing opportunities within HFC and somewhere else since most of her teammates are playing high school ball.

We at HFC are all very happy for her and wish her all the best!
